Sam Wei, graduated from the Law School of East China University of Political Science and Law, is the founder and senior partner of RICC & CO., specializing in corporate financial legal services, including equity investment and financing, restructuring by M&A, equity incentive, corporate governance, legal services of film and television culture enterprise, commercial litigations, etc.
Mr. Wei is the adjunct professor of East China University of Political Science and Law, the adjunct postgraduate supervisor of East China University of Political Science and Law, the executive director of the alumni association of East China University of Political Science and Law, the director of East China University of Political Science and Law alumni foundation, the founder of “Star Education Fund” of East China University of Political Science and Law, and the postgraduate supervisor for Shanghai University of Political Science and Law.
Sam Wei is also a member of CPPCC Changning, Shanghai; a member of the Propaganda Committee of Shanghai Bar Association; a member of the Finance Leasing Committee of Shanghai Bar Association; and the deputy director of the Law Committee of Shanghai Finance Leasing Association.
Representative cases participated by Sam Wei:
•The shareholding disputes between Mr. Shi and shareholders of Sheng’ao Corporation, with the result of Mr. Shi obtaining the judgment award of RMB 400 million;
•The bonded warehouse dispute between Jinan Iron and Steel and Industrial Bank, with a result of winning a judgment award of RMB 200 million for client. This case was selected into the guiding cases issued by the Supreme Court;
•The equity dispute resolution and compulsory liquidation project of Jiangsu Xinghua Guardian Real Estate Company;
•Provided compliance legal services for SMIC, Bright Food(Group)Co.Ltd, Guy Butler Ltd, and Shanghai Petrochemical;
•Provided legal services for movies “The Continent”, “Never Ever Thought.”, “Duckweed”, and “Pegasus”;
•Provided legal services for the equity setting and financing for Shanghai Ting Dong Pictures Co. Ltd;
•Provided entertainment law legal services for Bilibili, Ctrip, Jingshu, and Shanghai Project Banana Co.Ltd;
•Served as the legal counsel of Shanghai Sports Bureau, sponsored the Xujiahui Sports Park and Hongqiao Sports Park projects, and undertook a number of decision consulting research projects made by the Nation Department of Sport.

Mr. Wei was rated as one of the A list China’s elite 100 lawyers of 2021 and TOP 10 lawyers in Changning District. In 2015, he was awarded as the Example with Perseverance of China Backbone by China Business Network. In addition, he has also been awarded as the outstanding lawyer of the first session of Putuo District, Shanghai; and the gainer of Shanghai Youth Civilization Unit Project of 2013-2014 year.
